COVER PAGE ANALYSIS
The magazine I am doing this time is called "CRUISING WORLD". The cover consists of 4 elements in terms of the picture the sailing ship with people on board, the water and the sky with the clouds. What we can see is a very simple portrayal of the idea of cruising the world, and not lavish portrayal of a huge cruise ship with families enjoying the cruise.
This topic might be a controversy among people! Do cruising ships take away the thrill of travel and provide too much luxury or comfort which makes the adventure the same as living in your nearby hotel ?Many people have thought about this and still finally came to the conclusion that safety will not be assured if the ship is not large enough and with no radars and sonars.Then the next best thing is to have less comfort, but this cannot be achieved as if the people are not doing anything they are bored and if they are the ones who are cooking and doing the chores then some will complain that this will not be a holiday if they do work. So in the end the picture used as a front cover for this magazine is nothing but a dream of the people of today's world who look up to the adventurers of the past.But even more so, the picture has effect as it gives people courage and the hope that they are doing something great.But even though the above is the case for most people there are people even now in this world who practice sailing and receive training, these people seem to have a better chance of managing in the sea than common folk, but this still does not come close to the dangers the people in the past were prepared to face!!This is why the term "cruise" came to be.
CONTENTS PAGE/INDEX ANALYSIS
Text in the contents page have headings as bold olive green font, page numbers as light Persian blue
and the rest in normal/default font of black color, the fact that the writers' names are written in Italics should be taken note of as well.The only picture in the contents' page is an birds' eye tilt shot of a family on a boat waving to the camera. There appears to be a dramatic painting of a ship sailing from what appears to be another ship or an island(this also probably is a factor to add to the adventure aspect of the cruise).
Another point to take note of is that this magazine like our previous magazine analysis seems to give brief about the content inside the magazine along with the topics it explores.

DOUBLE SPREAD ANALYSIS
The image for the double spread covers the two pages acting as a background for the article.
The photo is that of a small boat along side a shore with snow and ice and a camp fire to the bottom left corner of the picture. The effect this conveys beside supporting the article itself is the fact that survival is something we must be vary of and take precautions for as travelling and rowing to places is not as easy as you think it is and the picture represents the reality of the situation.
Other than that the article is typed in the same courier font as before but uses white as font color choice to better go with the color scheme of the picture.
