Peer Review

Hey everyone, I want share and reflect on my blog based on my classmate's evaluation of it as well as my review of her blog. REVIEW ON MY BLOG She mentioned that my manga blogs must be clearer, user-friendly and that I should address the topic as a whole to make my readers comfortable as well as, better appreciate my blogs. On the contrary, she mentioned that my blogs have a lot of research behind them and that I should keep that up, and I admit I sometimes have a lot or too less at hand when it comes to research which varies according to the topic at hand.( I plan on doing a blog based on the topic of" Manga and anime " in a few weeks, so look forward to it In terms of magazine content, she mentioned since my target audience are children my content should be in the best of legible formats, to which I replied that my font as well as my layout are to an extent very reader friendly, with my font being almost too reader friendly. When she asked about my genre I said

Ford v Ferrari film review

The movie was a pleasant experience for those who love racing. It felt like the individual characters' vision came alive, thus the directing was good. The filming, sound and editorial departments have done a sincere job, and this painted before you as you see the movie. I was fascinated with the peculiar character behavior of Ken Miles. An instance of this is when he hits the car with a hammer to make the height requirements pointed out by the evaluator. Perhaps it's just me, but I tend to like people who do not sugar coat their words, or do things only because the society wants it and are professional, straight-forward and hardworking in their vision. This movie as a whole emphasized the courage and fear that racers carry with them while driving. And finally, I want to say that Ken Mile's son was a really well portrayed character as he did not waver and he understood his position and did not overreact and took it well in his hand!

Expectations for the Ford v.Ferrari movie

Hello everyone, today I am here to speak to about the movie I am going to watch tomorrow Ford v.Ferrari(if you have not guessed from the title !) I am a huge fan of technology and anything to do with electronics, engines and construction. - This my first expectation from this movie is to show to detail construction process and build up of the engines of  the cars and the framework.etc -I want the characters to feel real and not just have complete control of the car and act like kike they were born with the car.(i.e I want the drivers and constructors to have a deep understanding with the car and genuinely care about the car.) -I want them to emphasize how much work the constructors of the car put, to making the car safe and compete with the other! -I do not want the story to heavily rely on the emotional factor of family if there is any(as a lot of movies tend to have them and use them when they have weak story lines) Those are my expectations, let's hope I enjoy the mov

magazine preliminary Task

Image
This assignment was a test for the actual magazine task and where I learnt what are the things I should keep in mind for the actual version. I also listed the things that I forgot to add or could not achieve.                                                                                                                                          I successfully made a cover and a contents page for the magazine, although I feel that I did a good job on the cover, I feel that I did not do a neat job on the contents page. There also things that I left out in the cover like date and publisher( which did not know what to put as it is not an official magazine ) I left out the price purposely as prices tend to be on the back cover along with a bar code and the price we see in the front is only a sticker placed by the shopkeeper or your seller and it is market price not the actual price . But I decided that the color scheme was going to be dark including characters in silhouette whi

Sound editing, so how was it for me ?

I started with writing a story, that had elements that I could easily find as clips from YouTube. The story goes like this:"It is heavily raining along with lighting and thunder. During this rain a man is walking and sees a cat and attempts to shelter it until the rain stops. Birds start to chirp and crickets sing bringing the morning. The rooster roosts to wake every soul up as if it was declaring that everything is safe and the rain had stopped, signaling to everyone that they can come out of their shelters. Then the man walks to his farm where we can clearly hear the rooster after which we hear the cows and goats " The editing process was completely new to me and I had to go through trial and error and refer to tutorials which were of only five minutes length to ensure that I wasn't wasting my time.So I picked up on the things I had to do and with a few attempts I managed  to complete the project. I then asked my mom to listen to the clip. She said there was a

My take on composition

Image
Framing - using something within the picture to give context to it. Head room - Give room / comfort to viewer by taking the picture and leaving space above the head. Lead room -The space that you leave in front of a subject to show and give the illusion that the subject is looking at something (even the subject is not ) . Looking room - The space between the subjects and the edge of the frame they are facing. Cropping - Cutting unnecessary portions of a shot , done if needing to cut out minimal portion of picture otherwise it reduces the quality of the picture.  1 Original picture ( Not cropped ) 2 Edited version ( Cropped ) Depth of field - The distance between nearest and furthest elements of a scene that appears sharp Deep/large depth of field - keep foreground and background in focus  shallow /narrow depth of field - having the subject in fore ground in focus and blurring the background. Rack focus-Changing focus during shot

My take on camera angles

Image
1) Canted angles - angle to show instability  2) Low angle - Angle to show subject big.  2) High angle - A angle giving a comfortable high view .  3) Worm's eye- Shows the subject in dominating view . 4) Bird's eye view - Angle giving view that , viewer is observing from the sky. During preparation for these angels, I ended up exploring my house in the creative way after a very long time( I think the last time I did that was at the age of 10 and now I'm 15 ). As you can see , I've used my Pickachu figurine as my subject. I chose it as my subject because it was small, well made and would look cool on screen from different angles.( As it has been shown in the Pokemon anime ) Especially in the last angle I had fun gathering the bed sheets and cushions and other items to create something that resembles a scenery.

My take on camera shots

Image
Hello everyone ! Today , I am going to talk about camera shots which are used in filming.😄 1) Wide shot- subjects takes up full frame .  ( depending on the physique take from down or up ) 2) Medium close up shot - A camera shot generally , taken above chest to show face clearly.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               3) Cut away- A shot of something other than the subject or main action.                                                                                                               4) extre
