Magazine Covers

Image
American magazine covers tend to have  caricatures of the important characters/figures of the presented content in the magazine. The poster character/figure tend to depict what the magazine's contents or have catchy slogans or phrases that attract the readers( for ex:like the one above)  If we look at magazines in Vienna, we can see the merging of different art styles. As Vienna is called the "City of art", the magazines also are designed with a more aesthetic sense.Free flow, yet detailed ink  and water colored drawings. It depicts freedom in the field of art.  Then, if look at travel magazines like "Lonely Planet ", we can see the depiction of High Definition ( HD) quality photography of specific places/persons with that travellers point of view of the trip.  When we look at the Shonen Jump  cover we observe that the protagonists of every series is depicted in different artstlyes every time each taking t=an aspect of one another's series or ...

My new Camera after 4 years !!!

Hello once again, To everyone who are my readers today ! I am here to narrate to you in hopes of sharing my good experience with my new camera. To get started off to all of you who are camera lovers,  who's reading this post , the camera I bought is The DSLR CAMERA MODEL:EOS 1500D.  After the Amazon packaged carton arrived , I quickly went to my grandparents' and opened the carton with a pair of scissors.I had to open it in front of my grandpa's eyes as he loves science, and technology. The fact that there were 2 parts of the camera confused me at first, because I saw what looked like a camera and a black coloured soda can. I was really amused , so I asked my grandpa why the camera came with a soda can . It was then , ( as I was asking the question) that I realised  that the soda can that I was talking about was actually a lens case to be fitted. Surprisingly the charging only took 3 hrs , but since it said "charge" already ,"full charge must have n...

Sound editing, so how was it for me ?

I started with writing a story, that had elements that I could easily find as clips from YouTube. The story goes like this:"It is heavily raining along with lighting and thunder. During this rain a man is walking and sees a cat and attempts to shelter it until the rain stops. Birds start to chirp and crickets sing bringing the morning. The rooster roosts to wake every soul up as if it was declaring that everything is safe and the rain had stopped, signaling to everyone that they can come out of their shelters. Then the man walks to his farm where we can clearly hear the rooster after which we hear the cows and goats " The editing process was completely new to me and I had to go through trial and error and refer to tutorials which were of only five minutes length to ensure that I wasn't wasting my time.So I picked up on the things I had to do and with a few attempts I managed  to complete the project. I then asked my mom to listen to the clip. She said there was a...

My take on composition

Image
Framing - using something within the picture to give context to it. Head room - Give room / comfort to viewer by taking the picture and leaving space above the head. Lead room -The space that you leave in front of a subject to show and give the illusion that the subject is looking at something (even the subject is not ) . Looking room - The space between the subjects and the edge of the frame they are facing. Cropping - Cutting unnecessary portions of a shot , done if needing to cut out minimal portion of picture otherwise it reduces the quality of the picture.  1 Original picture ( Not cropped ) 2 Edited version ( Cropped ) Depth of field - The distance between nearest and furthest elements of a scene that appears sharp Deep/large depth of field - keep foreground and background in focus  shallow /narrow depth of field - having the subject in fore ground in focus and blurring the background. Rack focus-Changing focus...

My take on camera angles

Image
1) Canted angles - angle to show instability  2) Low angle - Angle to show subject big.  2) High angle - A angle giving a comfortable high view .  3) Worm's eye- Shows the subject in dominating view . 4) Bird's eye view - Angle giving view that , viewer is observing from the sky. During preparation for these angels, I ended up exploring my house in the creative way after a very long time( I think the last time I did that was at the age of 10 and now I'm 15 ). As you can see , I've used my Pickachu figurine as my subject. I chose it as my subject because it was small, well made and would look cool on screen from different angles.( As it has been shown in the Pokemon anime ) Especially in the last angle I had fun gathering the bed sheets and cushions and other items to create something that resembles a scenery.

My take on camera shots

Image
Hello everyone ! Today , I am going to talk about camera shots which are used in filming.😄 1) Wide shot- subjects takes up full frame .  ( depending on the physique take from down or up ) 2) Medium close up shot - A camera shot generally , taken above chest to show face clearly.                                                                                                                                                                                                    ...

Why your protagonist ( your main character) in your story ends up being similar to the super hero or character you most admire in another series...

When writing fiction, it is most common that your mc turns out to be similar to your favourite super hero .This is because that favourite super hero has the qualities you acknowledge or is ideal to you. This is a problem that most authors/ comic book artists face as indirectly the chatacter they create end up being a character they admire , drawn differently or in different  situations. This is why we must come to terms with the fact that actually nothing is new , and everything is just a hybrid of old things ( successfull or not ) and the writer of the story just shuffles the genere ( like taking something from an old movie and putting it in his book or comic ) and thinks up different ways to change the character's personality to resemble his, his audience's , his friend's ideology. Actually , now that I think about it the creator of the series is like the god of the series, that is why we can make friends with people who can come to terms our ideals even if they are fr...
